Greetings! Whether you are looking for a church home or you are looking for a place to worship while vacationing this summer in the Jamestown, NY area, you are invited to join us on Sundays at 10:30 AM. As you worship together with us I believe that you will find that our church is:
A Place of Worship: A primary reason that we meet together each Sunday is to focus our attention upon God, giving Him our worship and adoration. He alone is worthy of our praise and thanksgiving.
A Place for Learning: In addition to worship we study the Bible each week in a variety of settings, such as in Sunday School (we have classes for all ages), during the worship service on Sunday mornings, in the youth group on Sunday nights, and in several small groups which meet thorough out the week. We believe and accept the Bible as God's Word to mankind, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today.
A Place for Friendship: Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. We are committed to the expression of genuine concern and fellowship amongst the members of the congregation. Among the many ways that this is evident is by our praying for one another and by the times of fellowship together (luncheons or picnics, church softball games, and other such activities). We invite you to join us.
Please take a moment to look inside this web site to see some of the ministries that are available at our church. If you have any questions please feel free to email me or call the church office. Also, note the announcements on the right side of this page. Some exciting things are happening these days at Jamestown C&MA. Please join us!
In His Service,
Pastor Wayne Eppehimer
Parishoners enjoyed fellowship and a picnic dinner at the parsonage on Monday, September 1 for Jamestown's Annual Labor Day Festival. Over 20 were in attendance including former youth pastor Mike Rutenber and his family now living in Warren, PA. Following the picnic everyone made their way up to Bergman Park to watch the city's firework display. Click here to view more pictures.
Progress continues with the refurbishing of our children's area. Three of the old doors were recently covered with plywood to make them look as if they were made out of planks. Painting projects are nearing completion. Next up is the floor, which is made possible in part by a grant from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.
The church softball team lost the 5th round of the playoffs by 2 runs Friday night. It was a good game against a good team. Our congratulations to them. We will receive the 2nd place trophy this year. It was a fun season! Our thanks is expressed to the guys on the team. The fans enjoyed watching you play.
