Verse of the Day
Matthew 5:43-45
“[Love for Enemies] "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

Welcome to the web site of the Jamestown, NY Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

“... wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”  Psalm 51:7

As we begin the new year we have a fresh covering of snow on the ground in our part of western New York State. The new snow covers over the grit and grime of the salt and sand that the city plow puts on the streets. After each new snowfall the scenery is fresh and clean. This reminds me of what the hymn writer wrote, "Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow; now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." Instead of making a New Year’s resolution why not start the new year by asking God for a fresh start? When we ask God for forgiveness He will wash away our sin and renew us in our relationship with Him. That is a great way to begin 2010.

We do not know what this New Year holds but we do know the One who holds the future in His hand. Trust God for each new day and He will be there with you every step along the pathway of 2010.

Please take a moment to look inside this web site to see some of the ministries that are available at our church.  If you have any questions please feel free to email me or call the church office.

Happy New Year!

In His Service,
Pastor Wayne Eppehimer

Earthquake relief

Along with other organizations, the C&MA is responding to the Haitian earthquake.  In partnership with sister church organizations already on the ground, CAMA (the relief arm of the C&MA) will provide immediate assistance—including clean water, emergency shelter, medical aid, and other necessities—as well as long-term help in rebuilding efforts, integrating Jesus’ message of redemption with practical acts of compassion.

“A compassionate response during a disaster tangibly expresses Christ’s love and opens doors for other ministries,” says Phil Skellie, CAMA’s president.

If you would like to help you can donate to CAMA by marking your offering envelope this Sunday or donate directly on line.  Please see info below.  Most of all, please be in prayer for the people of Haiti during this time of great need.  Thank you.

For more information on relief efforts or to donate, visit www.cmalliance.org/give/relief/ or call 719-265-2039.
