Greetings! Whether you are looking for a church home or you are looking for a place to worship while vacationing this winter in the Jamestown, NY area, you are invited to join us on Sundays at 10:30 AM. As you worship together with us I believe that you will find that our church is:
A Place of Worship: A primary reason that we meet together each Sunday is to focus our attention upon God, giving Him our worship and adoration. He alone is worthy of our praise and thanksgiving.
A Place for Learning: In addition to worship we study the Bible each week in a variety of settings, such as in Sunday School (we have classes for all ages), during the worship service on Sunday mornings, in the youth group on Wednesday nights, and in several small groups which meet thorough out the week. We believe and accept the Bible as God's Word to mankind, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today.
A Place for Friendship: Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. We are committed to the expression of genuine concern and fellowship amongst the members of the congregation. Among the many ways that this is evident is by our praying for one another and by the times of fellowship together (luncheons or picnics, church softball games, and other such activities). We invite you to join us.
Please take a moment to look inside this web site to see some of the ministries that are available at our church. If you have any questions please feel free to email me or call the church office. Also, note the announcements on the right side of this page. Some exciting things are happening these days at Jamestown C&MA. Please join us!
In His Service,
Pastor Wayne Eppehimer
Orders for poinsettias to decorate the sanctuary need to be handed in by Tuesday, December 2nd. The cost is $6.25 per flower. If the flower is a memorial please inform Bonnie Mills or call the church office.
Over 50 people were in attendance at the Fall Festival Party held on Saturday afternoon, October 25 at the church. In addition to the game booths, snacks and crafts, participants took part in a Fear Not rally. During the rally children competed in different Minute to Win it Games including a pie eating contest and sticking lollipops to their faces. Children learned through the contests that the cure to fear is faith in God. Click here for more pictures.
We will be purchasing new flooring for the lower sanctuary next month. This flooring is made possible through a grant from the Karl Peterson Fund of the Chautauqua Community Foundation.
We have received 13 entries for the name contest. There were some great suggestions. The CLT will be meeting in November to chose a name from these entries. Thank you to everyone who participated!
